Oftentimes we work hard and get nothing in return. I don’t like that, and I bet you don’t either. Are you rewarding your employees? If you are a leader, you need to be constantly showing appreciation and giving awards to keep morale high.

One of the biggest morale boosts for me was a few months ago I was at an Air Force base and the Commander really liked me, so he allowed me to meet a 4-star general and get coined by him.

Morale is your job as a leader. Keeping your people happy and excited to come to work for you each day. Giving each employee hope and morale will spur your sales, growth, and productivity beyond what was conceived as possible.

ACTION STEPS – When was the last time you were appreciated? I want to appreciate you now.

Are you ready to be entre Vied? Let's break free of the life we're told to live, create freedom and well, by adding value to others live challenge traditions, challenge authority and get on terrified. Hey, guys, welcome to the show. Yours, Patrick, use here today on this lovely march 3rd Tuesday. I hope you enjoy the 29th leap years. Always forget to give shoutouts to thinks. Yes. Hope you enjoyed that leap year. Got a great week coming up. Hope you had an awesome Monday. Hope I hope you're gonna have an even better Tuesday. Um, I'm coming at you from Florida here. Not Nashville. Tennessee is I usually am. I met a 192. Our leadership course. That is over six weeks and Ah, really, it's it's really going awesome. A lot of debating. Ah, lot of feedback. I mean, it's it's very life changing, so having a lot of fun. So today we're gonna be talking about inputs are greater than outputs. What happens when you're inputting Maur than you receiving? So oftentimes we were card and we get nothing in return. You know I don't like that. I bet you don't either. I've been nobody like that. If you bust your butt, you showing up every day for extra hours. You're really out there giving me all you've got and nobody's giving any recognition. Well, you're not gonna keep showing up, you know, I'm gonna keep giving 100%. So especially with younger people, it's just important to reward them for showing up being consistent because a lot of he would be like, Well, that's part of your job. Well, it is, but at the same time, it isn't. I mean, there's a when somebody is constantly showing up constantly put in hard work they should be rewarded for because consistency is honestly harder. Then being somebody, that is just always late, you know, because that's what you expect in my God. But you have a guy who's, you know, always coming upto work. He's there every day of the week. Ah, 15 minutes prior. He's leaving in five minutes later than the workday. That person deserves recognition because they're giving you know, everything to have to the organization, to the mission to have a solid purpose. So why not reward them? Why not treat them? Why not be like, you know what? You deserve this recognition because you were really killing it. And you know, I'm in the Air National Guard, so I do on the weekends part up. And one thing I learned about from from that experience is you have to give awards to people You have to call people out of front of crowds. Like we had this one guy. It was this first assignment here he it was he just got out of training, you know, basic training and all that. And this guy actually stopped on the side of road for someone who was in a car accident and help save the person he called 911 All that and that deserves a recognition. So obviously he was given an award. I mean, lots of pictures taken. I mean, it is a big deal because he saved somebody's life. That's a big deal. And I feel like a lot of organizations that kind of just sweep that under the rug. If one of their workers does something amazing, you just kind of say, Oh, great job man hears a $10 Starbucks gift card. I mean, that's not even There's no effort in that. You know. So it's important that we really recognize talent, potential loyalty, and we definitely give them rewards. You know, being a supervisor, being a business owner, you have employees that are working towards your mission. So you have to make sure that you constantly are saying, Hey, great job. You're doing a really great job. I'm gonna reward you because you're going above and beyond. I want to recognize you because you're a faithful, loyal employees. So, like I said, awesome sons were card, and we get nothing in return. I don't like that. And I bet you don't either. Nobody likes working hard and not receiving anything. You know what? If you showed up the working, you didn't get a paycheck for that. Nobody really likes that. It's not fun. And so when you treat your subordinates that way, when you treat your employees that way, the supervisor is a leader. They don't want to be there. They don't want to be doing that because they think nobody cares. Even if you do care, they think nobody cared because you're not showing it. It's kind of like in a relationship if you're not taking your wife out to dinner and showing her that you still love her, that you still care. And she's gonna probably find somebody else, you know? So, are you rewarding your employees? If you're a leader, you need to be constantly showing appreciation and giving awards. I'm not saying, like just hanging out stuff every day of the week. I'm saying you need to constantly be thinking, Okay, you know what? Who is a really stellar employee employee of the month boom? You know, I am making that a big deal, making that a truly big deal. Don't make it some little $10 Starbury scare card. Make it to where they get a day off. Maybe they leave early. Maybe they get a couple $100 a substantial bonus or something, you know, make it to where people want to outshine other people because it is a competition. It is. There's no everybody doesn't get first place. Only one person does. You know, Ricky, Bobby says if you ain't first, you're last, you know, shaken bake. So, you know, is a competitive world. And if if you think it's not your you're wrong and you're probably gonna lose, you're definitely gonna lose, actually, because and throughout history. You know, all that survives is the strongest means how it is. One of the biggest morale boost for me was a few months ago. I was in an Air Force base and the commander of the base liked me a lot for some reason, totally. Just doing my job at drill every month. And so he allowed me the opportunity to meet a four star general, and the general gave me his coin, and that, to me, was a massive deal. And if you don't only think about the military, basically the four star general, that is the highest rink you can get in the entire military entire airforce heist ring guy. Well, I think he's one ranked below. Um, I think General Goldfein is the highest. And then it's General Ling yell because it was generally Nell. So, you know, getting that was a big owner. I mean, that's that's huge. That's kind of like, let's say you work at Microsoft. That's like, I don't know Bill Gates giving you a coin and saying, Great job, you know, And so for me, I was like, Wow, you know, I'm I'm leading my guys. I'm being a leader to my troops and just being someone that comes in like like I said a proverbial bill Gates of the Air Force and saying, Hey, man, really great job out there who won't appreciate you. Ah, and getting to know me. I mean, it was amazing. It really boosted my morale. And ah, I really appreciate everybody there for it. One of, um, morale is your job as a leader. That should be one of your main focus is is is morale and purpose for your workers. You know, they have to have a reason to show up early. You know, they have to have a reason to come to work. If you're a paper company like Dunder Mifflin in the office, love that show. By the way, uh, you know, you're gonna want to give your employees a reason and a purpose to be there, gonna want to keep things not boring. I mean, keeping your people happy and excited to come to work for you each day, giving each employee hope in morale or spur your cells growth and productivity beyond what was conceived as possible. So when you're boosting morale when you're boosting, when when you're giving awards. When you're appreciating your employees, your co workers, you're you're making a bigger impact than just Hey, thanks for doing this. Now what you're doing is you're turning a salesman. That is average into a great salesman. Because guess what? You just lit a fire under a seat that makes him want to go above and beyond. So when I cut it short here today and just give you guys an action step and as she this when was the last time you were appreciated for your work? I want to appreciate you now.
