Hey, guys, welcome to show Hope you're ready to get entre fied today. I'm gonna start the off by asking you What is your time? The empire. Hilarious way to phrase it. But here recently, Jessica, my fiance, she's been watching Bunch of show called, like vampire Diaries. So I've been all I've been hearing about vampires. So I'm like, Okay, okay. Vampires And I just thought, you know, they suck your blood. Well, they are what sucks away your time. Well, that's what we're gonna talk about today. So Hey, thanks for joining us and entre fied. If you don't know what it is about, it's all. All it's about is getting people to achieve that next step. You know, wherever you are in life, there's always a next step. Doesn't matter if you're on the top or if you feel like you're on the top. If you're on the bottom, wherever there's always the next step and perfect example, look at somebody like um, you know Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon? His next step is space with blue origin. So he's got a next step and even the lowest of guy, someone that is at the bottom of the ringer. Their next step could be getting any job, new promotion, paying off the debts, whatever. So there's always somebody need to achieve that next step and identified. We're here to help you achieve that one. Um, because I'm not here to charge an arm and leg $500.1000 dollars to get some quality content. It's all right here. It's all free. It's all right. In your years, you're good to go. So let's get you to that next step. So here's a little bit of back story on today's topic. About time. Vampires. Um, yeah. So movies, video games, social media, they all take our time away and not in a good way. That's why they're vampires. Vampires are not good. I don't think I want a vampire eating my drinking my blood. I don't think you want movies, video games, social media, taking, drinking your time, taking your time away from you. You only have a finite amount of time. Just like you only have so much blood. Well, okay, Maybe I shouldn't be using the better part, right? I was like, Okay, you only have a finite amount of time. Eventually, you're gonna be out of it. You're gonna run out of time, and that's it. It's over for you. So whenever you're giving social media and all this an hour a week well, an hour a week. There's 52 weeks in the year. That's 52 weeks a year. Sorry. 52 hours a year. Um that. Yeah, that's already Ah, What, two whole days? Almost no. Three. Right. 24. 48 to old days. It's basically two whole days of your life. You've given away a year to social media, looking at Facebook for two days straight with zero breaks. That's what you give away a year with Justin Hour every day a week. We're sorry. An hour a week. Jesus, man, cannot Math. Math is hard, Gus Mats Heart. So that's my next step. Learning math. Um, but so an hour a week in most people honestly spend an hour a day on social media. That's 365 hours a year that is a lot of days. I'm not. You're gonna try to make that. That's like I don't know, know, Trivedi said. About $2. It's like 15 days a year of your life. You get the point. You get the point that right even away, a lot of time of your life. We all have it. Everybody has that one thing. Maybe two, maybe three things that suck our time away and never give it back. You're never getting time back that you spend on certain on anything, really anything. Nothing. You could never buy your time back, my personal struggle, because I like to make myself the Marty or the person that is the front runner of the guy that we all used to model after. I have a lot of flaws, so bear with me on this one. My struggle is video games. I I love video games, man, I cannot like playing some good old Madden or whatever you know, fall out all these Games video game. I could play every day all day like I mean, no life. I could play and that's my struggle. I spent way too much time playing video games in the evening and night, then I really should, and I've really cracked down over the years on myself. I used to be really, really, really, really bad about video games, and now I've tried everything I could think of, and I finally found something that works and cracking down to an hour a day. That's sustainable because it is a hobby. It is a wedding outlet away to relax, to get some steam off your shoulders of your stress. You have an hour. Maybe you do just want to lay down and watch a movie and go to sleep. You know, maybe that's what you want to do, and there's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with how you spend your time, but just being aware. My primary goal is to be aware that you have a time vampire. You have a time sink, a place where you lose a lot of time, and my goal is to help you identify and then control it because it may be too much time. If you're watching and tires TV show of Netflix a week You definitely have a really bad problem with your time. It's definitely going on the drink So that's what we're shooting forward accomplish here today. Guys, um, back to myself. I'm installed a lot of my games. I sold him. I gave him up a sacrifice. It was really hard. And I'm upset a throttle on my Internet for downloading and playing games so I can't download games. I have a maximum amount of Internet I get every month, and if I go over that, it shuts off and I can't turn back on. And let me tell you, this has been tremendous in stopping my addiction of games because it's really throttled me back and it's really put a hamper on what I can do. Um, and it makes it and nothing I do doesn't make it harder to access games and in all that for myself. So if I want to play a game, I have to go find the game. I had to download the game and then I have to play it and you may think like it's no big deal. But like I said, I have a finite amount of Internet every month. And if I download one game just one game, it's gonna take almost all the Internet. I have and then I can't make podcasts. I can't do anything else it so it really I kind of put myself in a position of where I have to make a decision, one thing over the other, and I have to sacrifice, and I really, I mean, that's something I have to do. You may not have to go to that extreme, but it's working really well for me. Um, and nothing I did was, well, sorry. I have blown so much time down the toll it on video games and have nothing to show for it. I'd played. I mean, I played video games for years and have I ever won a world championship? Nope. Everyone, any money? No. And I have nothing to show for all the video games I've ever played, and it's just memories in my head. And then it's on to the next video game, and it's really a bad. It's really bad. Um, so what I did was a setup of metric, and I watched my time. And so I highly recommend you guys setting up some way to track your time, spit on social media, movies, video games and watching your time just to see where it's going. You know, like I said earlier, if you're okay spending an hour, they watching a movie, that's fine. I mean, you know you're okay with it, But if you don't realize I'm playing this game five hours a day, that's when you have a problem. That's when you have to be like, Okay, wow, I got to head this on. I've got to make a change because if I keep going on this path, well, clearly it's gonna affect other areas of my life. And let's say you want a new promotion for your job. Well, you can't get that promotion if you're spending the five hours on your video games, and I'm preaching myself here, Guys, I really am preaching to myself. I do these things, and I like to make an example on myself because I do. I'm just as much as anybody else. So I'm talking to you guys just so much of myself. I need to step my game up and just the same, just the same way that you need to step your game up. So keep that in mind. Um, another thing is the way I really took control of my social media because I also love social media. Uh, specifically read it. I love Read it. I'm all over. Read it. And what it was was I downloaded the screen time map and I noticed that I was spending stupid Copus just stupid amounts of ours on Reddit. And all I was doing was scrolling man. Nothing positive was coming out of it. No, I wasn't generating anything. It was it was just pointless, mind numbing scrolling because, I don't know, I just got so used to opening my phone, clicking the app good to go. And so how did how did I stop that? How to overcome that? Well, uh, what I did waas. I went and I downloaded a screen time at and I started recording my time, Like I said identified it and I noticed how much I was wasting on specific APS. And when I did was I took the app, I removed it from my home screen. I removed it from simple places to get and I made it to where I have to go through all my APS, have to scroll to find it, and then clicked open it and something so subtle is very powerful. Trust me, it's like it's like leaving doughnuts in front of your face. If you see doughnuts in front of your face, you're probably gonna reach out and eat some. Even if you don't want it, you're probably gonna reach out to you, you know, if you don't No, you don't need it. But if you take your doughnuts, you put him in your bedroom. You put him in the lock box, you locked the box, you take the key. You put the key in your bathroom all the way across the house, and then you hide the key from yourself. All right? Now let's say you want some doughnuts. Are you really going to go to your bathroom? Find the key, find the box, unlock the box, open the box, get the doughnuts and which one, or if you have it right in front of your face, the box of doughnuts. Which one do you think is gonna beam or effective in slowing that craving down and stopping you from just impulsively eating doughnuts? Ah, and wasting calories, carbs, sugar. What's gonna be more effective? Because if you if you make it harder to get to something. It's our natural response, at least mine to look for an easier alternative or an easier way out to do something. And if I had the waltz all the way across the house, look for keys, look for boxes just to get a freaking doughnut. I'm not going to do it. And that's the point. You should make it hard to get to these time vampires that you have. So if you hide your Facebook at deleting it from your home page, even going as far as uninstalling it or maybe, just like I said, hiding it deleting off your home page. So that way you have to go and find it on your phone, scroll through, look for it and find it. Just open it up and that. I think that for me. I mean, you changed a lot of things in my life. It actually changed a lot. I've actually been way more productive since. Just doing something simple is making it harder to get to what I want to get to that. I don't need to get to putting up obstacles. To get two simple things has made my life better. I moved all the major distraction somewhere harder to find and use. So my main point is this. If you don't manage your time, someone else will get control over your entertainment vampire. Get control of your life. Figure out where your time is going and put that time to use where you want to put it. To use towards something, you can actually have something to show for it. So here's the action step today. Download an app that tracks your screen time and move your distractions to a place that is harder to access them. So, like I said, to lead the app off the home screen, make it to where you gotta scroll to find it, even on the stole. It make it harder to get the things that you impulsively reach for. All right, hope that helps guys hope you have a great day. Keep it simple. Keep it going. Are you feeling entre fied yet? We hope so.
