Are you ready to be entre Vied? Let's break free of the life we're told to live, create freedom and well, by adding value to others live challenge traditions, challenge authority and get on terrified. Hey, guys, this is Jeff. I'm back on the podcast. This is part two of a topping that I've been talking about. And I do some a shorter podcast. Sometimes these air a little bit longer because I think they have more value. And I'm gonna try toe move along faster than I have been running because it seems like I got into talking a lot. That last podcast. I want to make sure that you understand have the context that you need. But I also want you to have the action points of how you can apply this to your life. So without without me saying a lot more, let me just get right into what I want to talk about today. And I want to start it off bright back about the same place I left off. This is the next subsection of that. So you can take a look at the title you can find out this is part two of it So what are you working for? What's the reason you're working? You know, a lot of people feel like that. They're working because they want to get enough money to retire to relax the rest of their life. And, you know, there. I've heard a definition one time of what somebody wanted was just want to be able to do what they wanted to do whenever they wanted to do it. That sounds wild, doesn't it? I mean, can you imagine that? Can you imagine how that would be in your life if you had that ability? Don't it sound right or does it? You know, I've said it before. I'm not gonna try to get on my my soapbox here. But you need to find out what your vision for your life is. What makes you productive? What makes you happy? But you need to find out the reason that you're doing all this stuff. Because if you ever come to the point where you can financially do those things, you don't want to get to the point where you're just completely bored. You're sitting at home thinking I don't have to do anything. Were made to be productive guys. So get to the point. I believe that you can find work. You really want to do this valuable for you guys anyway, without saying, without saying too much, I want to keep moving here, start getting a vision for where you want to go, guys, that's very important. And find out what that he is before you get to the point where you need to know and now you don't know. So I'm gonna go ahead and tell you a little secret. It's not just knowing what she won't and how to get that. Sometimes that's the easy part. You've got to learn toe, hold yourself accountable for the dreams and the visions that you have, so that's a key point. You have to write down what you won't. You have to start working toward it, and then you have to be honest with yourself. If you're not making progress to your go yet to say, Look, what is it that I'm doing? Maybe I've said too big of a gold. Maybe you do need to adjust, but if you can start making small, consistent change that some of the things that stick with you, that's a point that you can write down if you're writing these down and you can't just get our notes, just make small changes. You know, over a period of time, it can give you a really big results. And sometimes we do bite off more than we can chew, but set a goal and just take small steps toward it sometimes can get you great. Progress can get you enormous progress you got toe have violence. It is true that if you get too much going on, you can't get to the point where you don't really want to do it anymore. You have chose something that is really hard or you put a demand on yourself and you're just tired. So set reasonable goals but just keeps making small progress. I want to ask you something. What standard are you holding yourself too? You know, if you're looking at it from the point of just how much can I Little hell, how little can I do and get away with it? That's more than likely gonna lead to, like a mediocrity type of lifestyle where you're not really making progress. You're just kind of getting by and I'm not, you know, I I'm not judging you, but what I am telling you is it's probably not gonna lead to the point that you wanted to. So if you won't great things, let me tell you what you need to do. Here's another point. Start focusing on the things that matter to you. Make a good plan and start taking small steps. It often leads to a tomb, or, in my opinion, so let me say it again. Focus on things that matter maker liest of those things and start, start with a good plan and then start taking small steps toward those things. What if the only reward you ever get from a job is well done? Is that so bad? You know, sometimes we get to the point where we feel like that. We've got accomplish something and we got to get a reward for it. What if there was no reward? What if the only reward that you got was doing a good job in the satisfaction of the dream that was accomplished? Here's another point that you can use, you know, I told you before when we started this podcast, which this is part two of it, but I said invasion. Take yourself a story of what you're gonna do in your day. But, you know, if you keep envisioning the things, the pictures that you won't, the things that you won't accomplish if you start seeing yourself is that person. Start seeing yourself doing those things. I think you draw yourself closer to him. If you get to the point where you're thinking about those things all the time, you become closer to him. It's not overnight, but what if you just started envisioned the things that you want? You started working toward him, but you constantly was putting those pictures in front of yourself. He's constantly thinking about it in the morning. You took a little time in the evening. You took a little time. You know, me and Patrick was talking the other day and I told him I had a real strong confidence in most areas of my life and I wanted, and I thought and I believed most things I could accomplish. You know, the things that I wanted and that's pretty much how I feel about most things is you know, I do have a strong confidence. I mean, sometimes it can even get to the point where it may be considered arrogance. I hope I'm not arrogant, but, you know, it's one of those things where I really do feel confident about a lot of things. And I want you all to understand what that means. You've got to have confidence in yourself. But the route it is for me is God, because I know my God. He's got all of this under control and regards to. He made all of these things. You made space. He made all of this stuff. It's so beyond my imagination, you know? And it's not random, you know? I mean, I look at it from the standpoint of every little small detail is kind of put in line. I mean, how amazing is that? You know what? I have a personal relationship with Jesus. You know what I mean? I have a personal relationship with God. I start looking at the wonders of the things he does and makes me have faith. It makes me look at it, you know, the Bible says it's something along these lines, you know? Actually, I hope I'm not getting too far off here as Faras paraphrasing but I believe it says I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens May you know, Are you living that? It's one thing to know that verse, but I'm talking about where you feel that where that's a root that's taken root in your life, man. You can learn from other people what one person can do another person can do. Don't sell yourself short in the belief department that you can accomplish something somebody else can get a vision of how big God is and get a vision of how big you are in God. So, guys, I wanted to point that out. But this is so important. I have confidence in yourself. It's even Maur important to have a relationship with Christ because if that's your route, you have something you can work off of. Definitely. But if you don't have a room when tough time comes, it's hard to go through those things. It might be all right, you think in the good times, but believe me, the bad times they happen. But if you have crashed, you can make it through all of that. If you hold onto his hand and let him guide you and see you through this storm. You've got to keep your focus on the right things. You've got to keep on track. But I want you to have that confidence. I want you to have that assurance of eternal life too. But let me get back on to what I was talking about before. Start telling yourself the story of what you want in the next 10 to 20 years. Can you imagine that 10 to 20 years I'm not talking about just today. Can you work up where you start thing? Okay, this is what I'm gonna do today. This is what I'm gonna do for the week. The month. What if you could get to the port where you sing? You're 17 years out. This is what I want to be doing. I gotta be honest with you. For me, it's ministry. You know, I want to make sure that I'm adding value to people's lives, you know? I mean, I want to make sure that at the end of my life, there's something that was bigger than me. Not just may, You know, when your needs air satisfied, you know, you're won't so satisfied. But that's the thing I want to make sure that I have a ministry for Christ and I'm helping people. And I'm helping you to financially in regards to, you know, helping you see things that you could do different. But I want to get back on topic. I'm gonna give you action steps of the things that you can do. But I want you to start thinking about envisioning where you're at and where you want to pay. Here's something. Don't think simply because you're busy, it manger effective. This kind of going back to what we started about before, you know, be effective, be productive. Make sure that you're doing the right things. Not just things. Okay, so that's a point. Make sure you're doing the right things in the moment. Not just things that's coming. Know what you're You're gonna get this done. Make sure you're doing the right things that need to be done right now. If you're just doing busy work, sometimes that doesn't mean that doesn't equal effective work. Here's another thing. Place a demand on yourself today and you can get a lot of things done. Sometimes I'm not telling you to do that. Something you could look at and see if it makes sense to you. But if you're if it's always optional in your life and you're always given the choice, Okay, well, maybe I could do this today. Maybe I could do this some other day. If you get to that point. A lot of those things don't get done When you say, Look, this is what I'm gonna do. I've made up my mind. This is what I'm gonna do today. You place the demand on your life when you do that, and you set your mind and you set your heart in your mind and your belief. Own something powerful. Write it down. If you decide to do that, write it down and start seeing if you can hold yourself accountable. All right? I want to talk to you about something else. I know. I've got a little bit longer podcast today. Hope you guys are sticking with me here. But one of the things is is how fast can you run? I'm not saying you need Thio. See exactly how fast you can go before you break. What I'm getting to is you need to make sure you have balance. You know, I've talked about affecting this productive nous, you know, making sure you're productive. But there are There is this place of violence that you need to find. You need to find out what that is for you. And sometimes you may think, Well, I wanna be I wanna be effective. I wanna be productive. I've got feel better. You know, I'm doing good, but your body needs rest, too. You got to get to the point where you know what's right for you, and sometimes that's learning and growing. And sometimes it's experience. You start getting to the point where you need a little bit of extra rest one day a week. I try to get that, you know, generally some sundaes and I'll get up and I'll go to church. But I sleeping and generally it's kind of weird. My body will wake up Now. It's kind of like I may wake up three or four o'clock in the morning, you know, But it's like on that day. Some days I sleep in that sometimes sometimes I'm still up. But it seems to be a rest day for me, and I think that's what God made it to be is a rest day. Some people I don't think they get that away. But what we're talking about this here's something that you can do. Be grateful. Be grateful for the things that you have take that day that to rest and to serve God and be grateful for the things you know and just just praise God, who is bigger than all of us. Start looking that something bigger than you. You know, God's bigger than you. So shaming that you start looking at the things. Just be thankful for where you're at and give him thanks for the things, because when you are truly grateful, you have an attitude of gratitude. You start drawing those other good things into your life that he wants to put into your life. Just laws. I think that set up, you know, the better you become its certain things. It's like certain things. It's just draw it to you. Good things were drawn to you, but guys, I wanted you to hear some of the stuff that I had to talk about, that they find that balance for your life. I think it's super important. It's not just all about effectiveness productive nous. It's about downtime as well. You know, one of the things that we're talking about now is a point that I've kind of talked about before. And here's the point. If you're writing these down, remember, you can get things in our notes. Spend time in the morning telling yourself the story you want to do today. Invasion what you want to do. What are you working for? Envision that? What's your main plan? What's your long term plan? Yes, What's your short term plan for today? Don't get so lost in tomorrow that you don't think about today, but have tomorrow in mind to a little bit. Tell yourself in the night to get to the point where you start thinking about it in the night. Here's what I get to do tomorrow. Here's another point. Think about things early in the morning and get started early. That last part. Make sure you get started early. You know, I told you early in the morning that you need to just get up and start thinking about these things. Tell yourself the story, but if you can start your day a little bit earlier, then you're supposed to be talking about just hours before just 10 minutes. Then you tell yourself, You know, if I got up right now, I get this accomplished. You know, if I got this done early, I could do something else. Get a big vision for yourself. Start believing you can do great things. You know, I mentioned one of these before, but I'm about to close. If you guys were getting antsy. Two things I want to talk about, You know, it's if you got a heartbeat. I believe you get a chance at happiness. And the 2nd 1 he is, if you only live once. If you plan it right, it's enough. That's what I wanted you to know. Are you planning it, right? Are you executing it? Are you taking the actions that is gonna be beneficial to you? Start taking action steps on your life to give you a more productive life. A greater future. One more final point I want to leave you with here. I believe it says something in the Bible about my people perished because of lack of knowledge. If you need to know something in your field, start studying up on that Start figuring out what you need to know and take it just a little bit of time every day, possibly and put it toward that area of your life. You might not be every day for you might be once a week, but you've got to get to the point where there's some sort of routine in your life for it, and you start adding to your skills. You start adding to your knowledge. Guys, I hope you've got something for from this, we'll see you next time.
